For pricing, expect drinks to be cheaper than full meals, obviously. Full meals are usually a few dollars, but eating canteen every day adds up fast. If you're trying to save money, cookhouse is still the boring answer.
How to use canteen properly
- Bring small notes or use whatever payment method your camp canteen accepts.
- Don't take forever ordering when there is a queue behind you.
- If your section is moving as a group, buy something quick.
- Don't make your commanders regret giving canteen break.
- If the cookhouse food is acceptable that day, just eat cookhouse and save the money.
